Legend has it that if Enzo Ferrari had been a bit less arrogant, the name Lamborghini might still be associated mostly with tractors instead of with some of the worlds finest sports cars. Lamborghini tractors and Ferrari sports cars used the same clutch, which had some quality issues. When Ferruccio Lamborghini, who was born on this date in 1916, approached Enzo Ferrari to discuss a possible solution to the problem, Ferrari told Lamborghini to stick to his tractors and leave sports car design to him.
