April/May Storms and Flooding After-Action Review Lake County - TopicsExpress

April/May Storms and Flooding After-Action Review Lake County Emergency Management is hosting two separate forums to hear from our partners about the disaster preparation, response, and recovery efforts related to the April/May Storms and Flooding. Officials from communities or organizations that were impacted are encouraged to participate, so that challenges can be identified and corrected before the next disaster happens. Additionally, Lake County EMA will provide information about VEOCI, the software tool that has been selected to help with preparedness and coordination efforts across the County. Officials, including elected and appointed leaders, management staff, and designated representatives are invited to attend either of the two sessions that are scheduled: Wednesday, June 26th 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Auditorium C-005, C-Building College of Lake County - Grayslake Campus 19351 West Washington Street Grayslake, IL 60030 Friday, June 28th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 2nd Floor Meeting Room Lake County Central Permit Facility 500 W. Winchester Road Libertyville, IL 60048 There will be a round-table discussion of actions and processes related to the storm, including things that were effective and things that should be improved. All input is valuable, and is intended to improve our collaborative efforts, not to find fault with specific individuals or organizations. Open and honest discussion will help make Lake County a safer place to live and work.
