Aramide I dont like rainy days she said gracefully as she turned to look at me. I wanted to ask why, but the enchantment in her smile kept my mouth opened and empty. She asked,are you alright, Lieutenant Jide? looking at me in awe. I wished I could answer with haste but my eyes were locked on a woman I could hardly believe was created from mere sand; for Aramides radiance could teach the moon how to light a night. She came closer to see if I had fever or some sort of epidemic that makes men freeze, but for every step she took my heart raced like a ten year old boy about to be nabbed while stealing from his mothers bag. I could not hold down the thoughts of lacking expressions for her anymore for she was my fever. A disease that makes the heart happy, so I screamed out God! Aramide you are beautiful, men should come from far and near and buy tickets just to see the heaven in your face she smiled and grabbed my hand softly. This is a dream I said to myself,its so hard to believe I was standing this close to Aramide and that something beautiful was about to happen. I took a deep breathe and then touched her lips with mine. I kissed her so deep my heart touched her lips. My unworthy hands spread across her honey face. At that moment when her lips had locked on mine, when our hearts stopped beating and our lips had gotten engaged, when the temperature in the room had gotten heated. That moment when my tongue was about reaching for her ears, someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned. It was colonel Ossai. Oh my God how could I have forgotten to bolt the door??
