Arbitrary musing: the rainbow appears opposite the sun from wherever you are, as its refracted out of the water drops at a particular angle. As you move the rainbow appears to move. But, in reality, for this to work the rainbow has to be everywhere at the same time. It is simply invisible to you except from your particular point of view. There is a rainbow in every drop in every cloud, all you need is to know where to stand.
