Arc TINUBU THE ARCHITECTURE While PDP has Tony Anieh (BOT chairman) and Adamu Muazu designing and structuring the affairs of the party, the sole presidency ticket which was initiated by Chief Tony Anieh last year became reality with emergence of Adamu Muazu the Bauchi state former governors the game changer and with support from PDP governors, National Working Committee etc. The party through Muazu leadership has been able to manage the party internal affairs including pre and post primary election issue. in similar fate, APC possess one political technocrat in Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a former Senator and governor of Lagos state. Hes one of the pioneer of the merger which gave birth to All Progressives Congress (APC). Tinubu knew the best candidate in APC possession that has the political weight of fighting the ruling party the PDP is Gen Buhari which he eventually endorsed as the presidential candidate of the APC. After Gen Buhari emerging as the presidential candidate, many have tagged APC an Islamic party lobbying to field a Muslim\Muslim ticket. Fashola the incumbent governor of Lagos state would have done justice to the APC presidential ticket been Buhari running mate but his religion antecedent hindered such ticket since Fashola is also a Muslim. Buhari tagged by his opponents as a religion bigot was already a presidential candidate, So, following his emergence, the matter of balancing the ticket became an issue of great consideration. It was especially so given the impression created by his political rivals in the past of Buhari as an Islamic extremist even if no one had faulted him beyond his normal obligation to his Islamic faith. Buhari gave the APC national leader, the right to bring a running mate. It was a tempting offer which Tinubu would have presented himself, but since hes a Muslim he brought in Prof. Yemi Osibanjo a senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCH. With Prof. Yemi Osibanjo a senior pastor as Buhari running mate, APC will be wining majority of northern Muslims vote with the north been Buhari stronghold, some northern Christian votes and also rely on votes from its (APC) stronghold the southwest to clinch the presidential seat come 2015. Tinubu calculations are worth applauding, APC to me will be needing a miracle to ensure them victory at the poll considering President Jonathan political weight across the country. Hes holding the trigger but APC in Buhari will be giving a good fight.
