Archbishop Desmond Tutu has just published a powerful appeal to conscience in an Israeli newspaper. In its article, the Nobel Prize and legend of the struggle against apartheid join the 1.6 million people who are asking majors to boycott and divest of all activities related to the repression and occupation of Israel over Palestine. His humanity and his love shine in each paragraph, while urging the citizens of Israel (87% of whom support the bombing of Gaza) to liberate themselves from this terrible status quo. The text can only be read in the Israeli newspaper, but its an important piece to legitimize a position that some governments still considered controversial, and the rest of the world needs to read it. Enormous strength to stand firm for justice is required, but from the love of all those who refuse to become victims of fear and ignorance that make up our overall most feared enemy. A feeling of love that recognizes that destinations and freedom of each of us are strongly intertwined required.
