Architects, engineers and mechanics will be among the experts giving advice to students at Ashby School’s careers evening next Wednesday. The most eye-catching stand will belong to Triumph Motorcycles who will be bringing along one of their motorcycles for the evening. Other household names will include United Biscuits, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Lloyds Bank and The Swiss School of Hospitality among more than 40 companies on hand tol offer help and information on a huge range of career choices. There will also be representatives from 15 universities as well as local colleges. Head of careers Aimee Littler said: “The job market is very competitive and young people need to know the path to take in order to pursue their chosen career. “We hope that careers evening will inspire students to investigate the options available both locally and further afield, and help them to make some important decisions about their future.”
