Arctic sunshine continues! Wind chills will be dangerous until late in the day Wednesday dropping down between -20 to -40 statewide overnight tonight. Winds will diminish a bit Wednesday afternoon and turn from the northwest to the west and diminish to around 5-10 mph late in the afternoon. Thursday will bring another brush with light snow and another reinforcing surge of arctic air. Temperatures will remain below zero all day Wednesday across most of the state. Thursday we could surge briefly to the double digits when the light snow moves in before we push back down below zero for most of Friday. The pattern shifts a bit this weekend and that allows temperatures to move back into the teens by Sunday. This will hold through early in the week. Some indications are telling us we could even have 20 degrees a few times in the next 10 days. This is the thick of it and if we can get through January things tend to get better! Lets hope!
