Ardele and I had an enjoyable but kind of a whirlwind trip to Bakersfield this past weekend, followed by a rather traumatic experience today. After work Thursday evening we drove up to sit in bleachers in the hot sun the next morning to witness our granddaughter Taylor, Steves oldest, graduate from eighth grade. Afterwards we took her to Josephs Italian Restaurant to celebrate. The next morning I helped Steve with some lawn sprinkler system repair, then that afternoon drove up the mountains northeast of Bakersfield to preach at Posey Community Church Sunday morning. We arrived back home Sunday evening. Early this morning I took Ardele to the hospital for plumbing repair surgery and have been sitting and listening to her make all kinds of strange sounds as she struggles to break free from the anesthetic. The doctor says everything went well and she should be able to go home tomorrow. God has been with us all the way! Praise Him!
