Are Chelsea fans over-confident of Arsenal win? Amazing records prompt prediction landslide This weekend sees Chelsea face Arsenal in what could prove to be a pivotal moment in the Premier League title race. A usually fierce affair, it has the additional caveat of being Arsene Wenger’s 1,000th competitive match in charge of Arsenal, but the Frenchman’s failure to beat Jose Mourinho in 10 meetings has given Blues’ fans significant confidence heading into the clash. On top of that, Chelsea are unbeaten in an incredible 74 home Premier League games under the management of Jose Mourinho, including 15 games and counting in his second spell in charge from the start of this season. It seems that confidence has spread into talkSPORT’s Premier League Predictor game, with a whopping 85% of Chelsea fans predicting a home win, with 45.6% of forecasting a 2-1 win. Of all Premier League Predictor players, 63.4% have gone with a Chelsea win, compared to a paltry 8.3% backing Arsenal to break Jose Mourinho’s unbeaten record at Stamford Bridge. Wenger’s dismal record against Mourinho certainly suggests the Gunners will find it hard to prosper, but if Arsenal are to end their Chelsea hoodoo, there is no better time than to do it this weekend. Despite their lack of success against a Mourinho-led side, there remain some Arsenal fans who believe an upset is certainly possible, with an encouraging 39.1% of Arsenal fans who play talkSPORT’s Premier League Predictor believing an away win is possible. What do you think? Can Arsenal upset Chelsea, or are the Blues right to be confident in a win? Comment below and don’t forget to play our talkSPORT Premier League Predictor game for your chance to win £1m!
