Are You Living Out your Assignment? Greetings brethren. I hope and pray in the name of Jesus Christ that this writing is truly being lead by the Power and Presence of Yah the Holy Spirit, and not by my own finite, human understanding. Amen Please let me begin in the book of Mark: Mark 16:15-18 KJV [15] And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. There are 2 things I would like to point out in this above scripture: The resurrected Jesus Christ tells us to go and preach the good news that he took care of all Salvation on the cross, by becoming everyones sin(even Judass sin), and completely paying the redemption price totally, and completely on the cross. Then he says that whoever believes this and is baptized( it doesnt necessarily say by water or fire) is saved. Also, whoever does not believe Jesus is the only Messiah, shall continue on the road to damnation. Then says Jesus that every person whom He knows truly believes him, will be given a sign, or His signature, or assignment. He says that in His name, and His name only, will born again people go out among the lost, casting out devils, speaking in tongues, and taking up serpents, unable to be poisoned, finally laying hands on sick people and those people will be healed. The scripture doesnt describe exactly how these assignments will be manifested, it is for us to know that Jesus said they would come to us at His discretion. Now some of you might be saying to yourselves that youve been following Jesus for a good while now and have yet to see these signs play out in your own personal life, and you might be tempted to think that you are not really anointed by Christ. Now I am only human and dont have all the answers of course, but I thank Yah for his Holy Word that can give light to our present situation, and clarity when we allow ourselves to be lead by his spirit as we read the bible. Please do not allow satan to trick you into thinking you are not saved. Look carefully at what Paul says to Titus: Titus 3:1-9 KJV [1] Put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready to every good work, [2] To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. [3] For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. [4] But after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared, [5] Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; [6] Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior; [7] That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. [8] This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. [9] But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain. You might not have noticed some of the assignments being played out in your life, but have you not noticed that ever since the day, the very hour that you told Jesus that you wanted to live for him, and not yourself anymore, all the old wicked things that you used to enjoy doing, without even batting an eyelash, you cant do any more, without being uncomfortable? Its as if something Amazing, Wonderful and quite SuperNatural is holding you back from participating in all that wicked stuff that you used to do. Friends who used to participate in sin with you, all of a sudden dont treat you like they used to, since you laid those worldly burdens down....... Thats what my Pastor always reminds us of. He always says that that power holding you back is Jesus, who knows that you still might have weakness of flesh and satan still might be tempting you to return to your old ways, but you are in Christs hands and nothing can take you away from him. However, be careful, cuz just like a toddler sometimes gets bigheaded and snatches away from his fathers hand, you can also get foolishly big headed and thinking you can strike out on your own. Any way do your best to stay with Jesus and keep your faith. Soon enough youll find yourself, going out in the name of Jesus Christ casting out devils, speaking in tongues and etc... spending more of your time living out Christs calling and not living a life of selfishness... Amen? The Lord Just gave me an even deeper revelation: Matthew 8:5-13 KJV [5] And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him, [6] And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented. [7] And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him. [8] The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. [9] For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man , Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it . [10] When Jesus heard it , he marveled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. [11] And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. [12] But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [13] And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour. … Now this centurion just accepted Jesus at his word. Why? Because he, being under authority knew that when his commanding officer gave a command he carried out his commanding Officers request right away without asking any questions, and he also had authority over some men who, when he gave them a command knew not to question him, but to do what he commanded right away. The thing is you dont question a command on the battlefield, you just obey it right away. When I was in the Navy we were taught in bootcamp that when ever someone yells out Hit the deck! If you want to live you drop to the floor right away. Why? Because something might have just happened that there is no time to explain that your life is in danger. So the centurion knew that as soon as Jesus commanded his servant healed it would happen right away. Also when Abraham was told by Yah to go and sacrifice Isaac on the alter, Abraham didnt ask Yah Why?, he just faithfully said, Yes Lord, right away Lord. Now, when the resurrected Jesus said that all those who believe he paid the price of sin on the cross are saved and anointed in his spirit, and can go out in his name and cast out devils, speak in tongues, take up serpents, wont be harmed by poisons and lay hands on sick people and they be healed...... If I have real faith in Jesus, when is this supposed to happen for me? YES LORD, RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW LORD! In the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST Im casting out devils RIGHT NOW! In the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST Im speaking in tongues RIGHT NOW! In the NAME OF JESUS CHRIST Im doing everything else the RESURRECTED JESUS says I am to do in his Holy Name.... HaleluYah!!!!!! However, if I start asking questions like what exactly do you mean cast out devils?, or speak in a tongue? Well, if I start questioning what Jesus said then it means I really dont believe that Jesus knows what he is talking about, or Im trying to use human understanding to make finite sense of his infinite promise..... Amen?
