Are You Sharing? When someone falls down are we quick to laugh or quick to help. Christ calls us to lift our brothers and sisters when they fall with tender compassion. We are not called to laugh and point, and judge them. For if we judge we are no better and might as well be the one who fell. Before we were saved we all carried our own burdens, because we fought for our own selfish desires. Now we fight for a common goal of bringing about the will of God. We are now called to carry the same fate, and when one of us falls it should call us to tender mercy and grace. Are you sharing in this burden of your cross along with your fellow brothers and sisters, or are you only being a burden? 1 Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, considering yourself lest you also be tempted. 2 Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. 3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. 4 ut let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. 5 For each one shall bear his own load.
