Are carbs bad for you? Absolutely not. Carbs, protein, & fats are the bodys macronutrients. We need these three for maximum health benefits. Even simple carbohydrates have a place in the diet. Provided you are at the correct body fat percentage, a simple carb prior to a gruelling weight session aids in a person being able to hit muscular fatigue before neural fatigue sets in. And the idea of not having carbs after lunch is a general guideline only, for the average couch potato. In truth, its not the time of day that dictates the eating of carbs, but the activity level of the person. Regardless of what time it is, carbs after weights is a sure way to rocket you to success. So get out there, earn those carbs, & Stride with Pride.
