Are not the lost e-mails by the IRS a grim reminder of the Nixon Administration losing 18 minutes of White House phone tapes during the Watergate affair a generation ago? Congressmen Paul Ryan and Trey Gowdy and no doubt others have asked questions that have stripped away most of that agencys credibility to show it was targeting parties of a different political stripe and that it is now trying to hide evidence that would likely support whatever concerns there are. Whats different here is the lack of a Fourth Estate watchdog. Where is the investigative reporting that took down a sitting president for lying about a burglary cover up 40 years ago?
