Are people who are not Christians making opportunity to spend time - TopicsExpress

Are people who are not Christians making opportunity to spend time with you? Are those who are considered the worst of sinners finding ways to be with you? The sinners in the day of Jesus sought Him out. They were not coming to Him in the synagogue, but found where He taught and ministered and they made time to be with Him. These same people made it a point to avoid the Pharisees, scribes and religious leaders of the day. Because the religious people were grumbling at Jesus being a friend of sinners, He told them 3 parables in Luke 15: the lost sheep, the lost coin and the prodigal son (the one lost because the sheep didn’t know better, the one lost from negligence, the one that ran away but was welcomed back). Sadly, it appears that the average American Christian has far more in common with the Pharisee than Jesus. We are supposed to be little Christs (Christians), not little Pharisees. If we are to be little Christs we must seek the Lords leading in doing two things: being holy and being a friend to sinners. May we Christians find ways to receive sinners and eat with them. How will you do this today? Luke 15:1-2--1 Now all the tax collectors and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him. 2 Both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, This man receives sinners and eats with them.
