Are there any UK-based hospital midwives (or students who have done recent labour ward placements would be great too) out there who could spare 5 minutes to help me? I am writing a section in my upcoming GBS book about the nuts and bolts of what actually happens if and when a woman decides to have IV antibiotics in labour, but I know that there is local variation in (a) when and how IV access is located, (b) what is used and how long this is left in, (c) who gives ABs, when and how and so on. Does anyone have time to post here (or email me via my website if its easier) and tell me a bit about what happens in their area so I can try and include as wide a range of what might happen as possible?
