Are we a Chartered Accountant (Auditor) or …….? 1. We work very odd hours. 2. We are paid a lot of money to keep our client happy. 3. We spend a majority of our time in a hotel room. 4. We charge by the hour but our time can be extended. 5. Creating fantasies for our clients is rewarded. 6. People ask us, What do we do? and we cant explain it. 7. Our client pays for our hotel room plus our hourly rate. 8. Our client always wants to know how much we charge and what they get for the money. 9. When we leave to go see a client, we look great, but return looking like hell (compare appearance on Monday AM to Saturday PM). 10. We are rated on our performance in an excruciating ordeal. 11. Even though we get paid the big bucks, its the client who walks away smiling. 12. The client always thinks we cut of our billing rate is higher than it actually is, and in turn, expects miracles from us. 13. We get so brainwashed into the lifestyle that we dont realize that life can be better, until it is too late. 14. After a few years, we find that all our non-CA friends are no longer our friends, because we lost touch and our schedule and lifestyle was difficult to manage, and we find that we associate primarily with other CA’s. 15. The turnover rate is ridiculously high. Everyone thinks they can do it for a few years, no problem, but after just a few clients railing us, many break under the pressure, or quit for a better life. 16. Most of the time, our job could be performed by a well- trained monkey. 17. We thought college was a waste of time...
