Are you REALLY going to eat that fish...? I am asking, because it is not the first time I see a denizen of the wetlands trying to chew something too big for its mouth. And you have to wonder, because I cannot stay watching the whole day or pursue them where the path ends, if they give up, or manage to get it down their throat! One of the Milky stork got that fish first. Then it got chased away, bullied to drop it. Another one picked it up. It tried and tried again to swallow that fish but just could not. It kept dropping one side or the other. And as it was trying, running away with it from competitors, the poor fish started to fell apart, losing its head, and parts of its side, after repeated beak attacks :-( All those shots were taken with my 1.4 teleconverter and 70400 telephoto lens, giving me 560mm focal length and manual focus (using peak colouring). Using RAW and no zoom you get a real good peaking, easy to determine focus, full 24mp images for great cropping and quality. But you have to be reasonably close to the action. If you use zoom, you loose RAW quality, only get JPEG and extra fine resolution of about 8mp, less peak colouring to determine your focus points (may become a bit difficult), but you can get of course much closer: by the quality of those shots Id say, with the right light and subjects, thats not too bad! 1 - I got it, but better watch out for that guy... 2 - oh no, ooops, got it! 3 - lets try that again! 4 - that guy again... never gonna eat this fish in peace! 5 - almost... there... almost...
