#Are you a PHARISEE? Last week, I watched with amusement the testimony of an American doctor that was treated from Ebola virus with tears in my eyes (i did not cry though..Lol!)....Now, what really captivated me about his testimony is about how he came to Africa “Liberia” for evangelism prior to the Ebola virus break out. He said he saw how people were abandon on the streets to die because of the virus. This man said he was moved with compassion in his heart and decided to abandon the missionary work and went into his real profession to save lives. His actions attracted another American to join him in his new mission, while so many died in the camp he built as quarantine for the victims, so many survived and at last both doctors contracted the virus. The doctors were evacuated to their country and treated from the virus. The doctor said that it was not the drug that cured him but God, he said when he realised he had the virus he prayed to God to save his life against all odds....hmmm wow!. Now here is the lesson from this story....Just like the parable of good Samaritan, this doctor “a stranger” helped to save the lives of the Ebola victims, while the Liberian people ”Pharisees” ran away. Secondly...only few people would have known or heard about the doctor if he had ran away to his country because of the virus. Thirdly...because he sacrificed his life, he got it back in full. Fourthly....his dreams or mission was to preach the gospel in Liberia but he ended up preaching to the whole world through his testimony. 1 PETER 4:8 Says: And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves; for charity will cover a multitude of sins. NOTE: charity and love are inseparable twins, if you don’t love then you can’t give and you can’t give without loving God didn’t only speak about charity and love but also put it into action by sacrificing himself so we can have salvation. It is because of charity you will see even unbelievers are prospering, while some believers “Pharisees” are still suffering in shame and dishonour. You go to church, speak in tongues yet you don’t talk to your neighbour...you are a PHARISEE You dance & sing praises to God yet you are gossiping and hating a friend...you are a PHARISEE You read the bible every day yet you are happy ur brother/sister is failing....you are a PHARISEE You never miss night vigils yet u have 10 shoes & pple around u have none...you are a PHARISEE You fast for 40 days yet u cant preach the gospel to the lost or feed the poor....you are a PHARISEE My friends you can add yours because the list cannot be exhausted. However, when you do that also ask yourself if you are a PHARISEE? if you enjoyed this piece please join me next week and remain blessed #Mediafactoryng #BringBackOurGirls #AviodEbola
