Are you a college student looking for internship opportunities? The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center (LTCAC) is seeking qualified interns for the positions of Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator Intern and House Manager & Box Office Intern. LTCAC has a state-of the-art theatre that provides a variety of performance and classes that include ballet, contemporary dance, plays and comedies, to name a few. These positions will provide exciting opportunities to learn the inner workings of a local arts facility. Our venue is also available for rental- we have rooms that can hold groups ranging from 50-325 people as well as a theatre that can seat up to 530. Rental categories include banquets, balls, conferences, wedding, receptions and meetings. Interns will learn contracts, set-up/take down and customer service skills. Interns are also offered the experience in curatorial, preparatory, exhibit research and tour guiding opportunities. We book rotating exhibits in the Museum and Gallery throughout the year to coincide with the LexArts Gallery Hop. LTCAC also provides a great variety of project-based, hands-on work in our social service projects, community conversations and a variety of educational programs. Visitor service, marketing, communication and planning skills will be perfected through these programs. These Community Outreach & Volunteer Coordinator Internship and House Manager & Box Office Internship are great opportunities for students to understand every aspect of the arts in one facility. We offer experience in Theatre, Museum/Gallery, Venue Rental, Clerical/ Administration and Education. Hours will range from 10-15 hours per week and are transferrable to college credit.
