Are you an athlete and a jewelry maker? Yesterday, a woman came in with numbing in her palm and shoulder pain along with low back discomfort. Shes been to several sessions with a PT and received helpful exercises but felt it wasnt enough. While working with jewelry making, she often feels her body leaning forward and her neck is stressed. Assessing her spine, the lumbar region was rotated to the right and the mid to upper thoracic had 2 sidebending to left and 1 to the right finishing with 3 left rotations in her cervicals. Right ILA was dropped and right Ischium was elevated in prone position. Right gluteal minimus/medius attachment were also compromised. Her posture during her creative moments were: she has a lamp on the left side of the table, crosses her left leg a bit off to the right. Her head leaned forward from lack of proper eyesight. During tennis, the ball seemed to waver and disappear as well, dominating the use of her right eye. Her heavy hand bag hangs on her left shoulder because of the pain in her right. After several notes of changes needing to be made and reprogramming the corrected sidebends and rotations through MET/NMT, she was very pleased with the results and I WILL KEEP YOU POSTED :D Have a great Saturday!
