Are you caring for a spouse with advanced, terminal cancer? Or have you cared for a spouse or parent who died of cancer? Macquarie University are conducting three studies about care-giving: • one hour telephone discussion groups for carers of a spouse or parent who died of cancer, • a 20 minute online questionnaire for bereaved carers of a spouse who died of cancer, and • a four part questionnaire for people currently caring for a spouse with advanced, terminal cancer (a 20 minute survey completed every 4 months). You will be asked to provide some brief details about your spouse or parent’s illness, but the emphasis is on how carers feel about aspects of the social and medical setting in which care is/was provided, and effect of being a carer on their wellbeing - all details kept confidential. Please register your interest at wetoi.org and or call Katriona Smith on 0417 006 566.
