Are you concerned about the Sandpiper Crude Oil Pipeline being routed near sensitive water/wetland areas, possibly Becker County? Alternate pipeline routes are available and requesting an Environmental Impact Study would better identify risk factors to Minnesotas Land of 10,000 Lakes. The Public Utilities Commission is holding public meetings to hear citizen input next week. ==> Please attend one or more of the meetings to voice your opinion. The dates and times are (all meetings begin at 2PM): Monday: St. Paul RiverCentre, Ballrooms A & B Tuesday: Duluth Holiday Inn, Great Lakes Ballroom, Lake Huron Room Wednesday: Bemidji State University, Hobson Union - Ballroom Thursday: Crookston Inn & Convention Center, Ballrooms 1 and 2 Friday: St. Cloud River’s Edge Convention Center, Herberger Suite Requests to hold public meetings closer to Detroit Lakes (and other areas of the state) were made, but the requests were denied.
