Are you confirmed? What changes have you noticed in your life? Can you now stand up to share and defend your Christian faith? Or you still live in ignorance and passively present in the Church? Through the Sacrament of Confirmation you have been given the Holy Spirit in order that you make be strong and perfect Christian and soldier of Jesus Christ. You are to fan into flame therefore, the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of hands. For the Spirit God gave you is not the Spirit of timidity, but of power, love and self-discipline (2Tim 1:6-7). If you must boast of anything or any gift, boast ONLY in the Lord (1Cor 1:31; 2Cor 10:17); considering yourself a mere servant who have done not more than what he/she is sent to do (Lk. 17:10). Thus says the LORD, "Let not a wise man boast of his wisdom, and let not the mighty man boast of his might, let not a rich man boast of his riches; but let him who boasts boast of this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the LORD who exercises loving-kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; for I delight in these things" (Jer 9:23-24). Therefore, Work not for self-praise or reward, but duly to the glory of God (1Cor 10:31). You should be sure of what you believe (cf Jn. 6:69), and understand sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus, and defend the good deposit of faith that was entrusted to you— you are to guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in you (2Tim 1:13-14). Therefore go and make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19) with the authority you have been given to trample on snakes and scorpions, and overcome all the power of the enemy, and nothing will harm you. (Lk 10:19-20). And on the last day, may you rejoice finding your name recorded in heaven. Be Blessed.
