Are you feeling tired and worn at the end of your work day? Do you notice your muscles are tense and your eyes are blurry? Often times productivity slows because of positional discomfort. Here are 5 quick workplace ergonomic tips to help. 1. Choose a desk that is the proper height or raise your seat. All things on the desk should be within easy reach. 2. When using your computers mouse, use your entire arm and shoulder and not just the wrist. 3. Adjust the height of the monitor. Your eyes should be level with the top of the monitor. Leaning your head forward and down can cause strain in the neck muscles and lead to headaches. 4. Do not sit in the same position the entire duration of your work day. Stand up, stretch and walk every 20- 30 minutes to allow for easier blood flow. 5. Always have a glass of water on your desk. Little sips throughout the day goes a long way.
