Are you getting ready to get your taxes prepared? Heres my short list of items to make sure your tax professional has: 1. Your prior year tax return. 2. SSN and Dates of Birth for everyone on the tax return 3. All of your tax forms: W-2s, 1099s (INT, DIV, B, and Misc) 4. Documentation for your business expenses, donations, medical expenses, real estate and mortgage expenses. Also, bring up any changes that have happened in the last year such as, marriage, divorce, graduations, started a business or invested money. It can all affect your taxes.
