Are you in a marriage that just seems to be going nowhere? Or - TopicsExpress

Are you in a marriage that just seems to be going nowhere? Or maybe your marriage is everything you thought it would be and more. There are stages in married life that we all go through and unless we have God in the center of our marriages, we will struggle to get through those rough patches. Maybe youve decided years ago as a couple that every marriage vow you took is worth fighting for and because of that your marriage is stronger now than ever. Maybe you’re at such a low stage in your marriage that you can’t seem to imagine your marriage surviving another day. God wants us to be broken together so we can be restored together in His fullness. I heard this song on the radio this morning coming into the office and wanted to share it with all of you. It’s “Broken Together” by Casting Crowns. As the lyrics say, “The only way to last forever, is broken together.” Prayerfully consider attending the marriage retreat that God placed on Carly’s heart and that she is organizing and planning for the end of February. Below is more information on the retreat. God’s desire is for us to invest in each other and our marriage. This retreat would be a great opportunity for you to spend some time concentrating on your marriage and celebrating the future God has in store for your marriage. Be blessed today my friends. Marriage Retreat Info: Calling all married couples....married a few days or several decades, couples with children or couples without children, strong marriages or threatened marriages....this is for every married couple.... I am putting together a Marriage Retreat, but to plan I need to know how many couples would be interested. Ive been praying about speakers and already have a great couple lined up & ready to go...Nathan & Amber Mangle! Dates/Times: a Friday night in late January or February, 6pm -- the next Saturday, 3pm Location: TBA...this is where I need to know # of couples. The number of couples will determine the venue. Wherever it is, each couple will have their own hotel room, and we will meet in a large conference room for the event. The venue will be within an 1 1/2 hour drive of Athens. Details: The retreat will consist of a mix of large group times, worship times, break-out sessions (women & men groups), games, meals, snacks, & FUN!!! This is an investment in your marriage that you will not want to miss! Cost: I am aiming for $150/couple, but again, it will depend on the # of couples....from the marriage retreat Ive been to....its worth it! Soooooo.....talk it over with your spouse, start tucking some money away & get ready to be blessed with a fabulous time! Please let me know by Dec. 15th if you are interested in being a part of our 1st Annual Marriage Retreat! Sign-up & payment deadline will be announced as soon as venue & dates are secured. Letting me know you are interested does not constitute a sign-up, it just helps me determine venue & amount of hotel rooms needed. Feel free to invite couple friends! Thank you! Love in Christ, Carly Van Laar
