Are you in bondage to a people or a person? To be in bondage is like walking around on egg shells all the time and not being able to be yourself and say what you feel like saying. Some are in fear of abuse and others just have fear of back lash or retaliation and a put down. years ago I worked with battered women in Montgomery, Alabama. We had support groups in hidden places and some in churches. One day I received a call from a friend of mind asking me if I would try to help this lady? She told me that she would have to meet me in a secret place out of fear of her husband. I was told that she did not think this lady could be helped. She had been in abuse for 30 years. Anyway I agreed to meet her in a parking lot of a grocery store. This lady was in such bad shape that when she would come in the back door and see her husband with a knife, she would black out. I worked with this lady for 5 years before we got her into court to get her away from the man she feared. I remember dressing this lady up and making pictures of her to show her what a beautiful lady she was and I taught her how to confess who she was in Christ. And to stand in front of the mirror and speak to herself that : I AM SPECIAL...CAUSE GOD DOES NTO MAKE NO JUNK. (The fear of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe. Proverbs 29:25) Gods word healed that lady and she went on to teach her children how to use Gods word to heal and deliver them from the fear and torment.
