Are you interested in bush regeneration? Are you 17-24 year olds? The Green Army Team are looking for volunteers to work together with local Bushcare groups to improve the water quality, biodiversity and resilience of the Lime Kiln Bay Wetlands. These wetlands lie on the Georges River adjacent to the beautiful Oatley Park nature reserve, together forming one of the real natural gems of the Georges River system. A range of works will be conducted including weeding and revegetation which supports the Lime Kiln Bay Connectivity Improvement project (partly funded by Greater Sydney Local Land Services). The project aims to improve the health of the wetlands, increase community engagement and raise awareness of stormwater management and conservation issues through the utilisation of volunteer Bushcare groups at the site lead by Council’s wetland officer along with the Green Army Team.
