Are you juggling work and care? Do you ever feel lonely or isolated as a working carer? One in nine employees will be looking after an older, disabled or ill loved one. Yet caring still remains a relatively hidden issue in the workplace. Many employees either do not recognise themselves as carers, know where to turn for help, or feel comfortable about coming forward for support. Through Employers for Carers weve come up with a new survey to improve our understanding of why carers feel isolated or lonely in the workplace, and to find practical ways to help. The survey is now open and we’d really appreciate it if you spare a few minutes to either complete the survey or share this post with any working carers you know.
