That neighborhood joint where the bartender knows your drink, a place where the music flows like wine and the food is outstanding. - Looking for a place with great atmosphere and excellent food - nothing stuffy. Do you like Jazz, Blues and Soul music. I live in South Florida for over 20 years and I have yet found this place. They have been many restaurants open and close, either the music was outstanding and the food was lousy, the food was excellent and the ambiance was crappy, the location was great but the entertainment was horrible.. I have seen that place in many movies notably Spike’s Lee Mo better blues and countless others, the Saxx, the lighting, the ambiance always looks perfect and the people look like they are having the time of their lives. I Searched endlessly with no positive results, so I decided to create that place myself… This Saturday September 14th, 2013 at 7 PM I will open...... the doors for The Chef D’s Modern Caribbean Bistro and Jazz Bar at 939 North Federal Highway Hollywood FL.. My friends this your spot, your joint, your place and your Chef, we will be hosting a different events there 4 to 5 days a week. Open Mic Tuesday- Local Poets Wednesday- Blues Therapy Thursday- All night Happy hours menus Friday with Live music- Deep Jazz and Soul Saturday and perhaps we may even add a Jazz brunch to our schedule, the sky is the limit. All these events are coupled with great food, by yours truly Chef D and my Chef friends…. Finally if you are in the Tri -County area of Dade-Broward and Palm Beach yu have a place you for you.
