Are you living with chronic sinusitis with or without nasal polyps, or the associated symptoms? PRN is currently conducting a research study of an investigational device that delivers fluticasone propionate, an already approved medication, to treat chronic sinusitis with or without nasal polyps. This investigational device may provide a more targeted delivery of medication into the nasal cavity. To qualify you must be 18 or older years of age and have the following for at least 8 weeks - Diagnosis of chronic sinusitis (with or without nasal polyps) - inflammation of 1 or more sinuses - accompanied by airway inflammation and in many cases the initial symptoms are rhinitis (runny nose) OR - nasal blockage/congestion - nasal discharge - facial pain or pressure - headache - reduction in sense of smell Chronic sinusitis is one of the most commonly diagnosed diseases in the United States. It has been estimated to affect approximately 20 million Americans. Currently, there are no approved medications for the treatment of chronic sinusitis.
