Job Announcement POSITION: Health Educator REPORTS TO: HIV Prevention Coordinator PROGRAM: Chicas HOURS: Full Time-time/40 hours per week EVCHC is seeking a Health Educator for the Chicas HIV Health Education Risk Reduction program. EVCHC will utilize the SISTA model to provide HIV/AIDS education and prevention training to the Latina transgender community. EVCHC is seeking to hire an individual who has experience working with the transgender community. JOB REQUIREMENTS: -Experience working with transgender community preferred. -Bilingual (English/Spanish) required -Be familiar with HIV transmission and prevention -Must be non-judgmental -Must be culturally sensitive and knowledgeable of cultural norms -Be able to facilitate group sessions with 6-10 participants -Ability to recruit and develop rapport with diverse communities. -Ability to work independently and in a team. -Must be well organized.
