Are you preparing for the MBLEx or other exam? Check out the hierarchy of guessing... 1 - Seek and Destroy - These are the answers you know are not correct; throw them away immediately...no second guessing; no over thinking...just wrong and gone. 2 - Absolutes tend to be misleading - Everyone, Always, never or all tend to steer you astray; the more likely answer will us qualifying terms - often, most, some, or sometimes 3 - Opposites and Sames - If two answers are conveying the same idea or opposing ideas, they are generally incorrect 4 - The Sesame Street Rule - which one of these things is not like the others? Often times, choose it! 5 - The Longest Answer - Look for the most precise, detailed answer; dont be distracted by long answers that say a lot of nothing...look for the substance. 6 - Guess and move on - When none of the above techniques provides a reasonable answer, guess and move on. It is far better to take the statistical chance of guessing than leaving an answer blank. Learn to move on to the next question without rethinking your guess. Admit you didnt know it to begin with, so obsession about it as you move through the test isnt going to make it better...and on a test like the MBLEx, theres no going back! #NHILife National Holistic Institute | San Jose
