Are you ready for the dance of life? How committed you are to your joy in life? If you think that joy in life doesn’t required your full commitment, you might underestimate how much time, thoughtfulness and learning effort is needed just for the sake of being in positive state of mind. Like any idea you may have been offered, you might want to explore what are the benefits of having joy in life and what kind of obligation you have to take on yourself in order to be more positive. Yes even such a good offer should be well evaluated and I know more then few people who decide not to take this offer from life and to stay negative, hopeless and pessimistic, but it is their problem not ours. It doesn’t mean that we have to give up on bad days or lose our right to complain from time to time but in general, to feel good required making effort and being committed to the idea. So first we have to take into serious consideration what it takes from us and why it is for our benefit. So let’s take a moment to think about it, what does it mean to feel good? What does it mean for the people around you when you feel good? What are the things you like to do when you feel good? Or even more silly but important question that we may forgot to ask; How does it feel to feel good? Please take a moment to think about it more deeply, how do you feel when you feel good? How do you feel when you feel really good?? How do you feel when you feel excellent??? Now let’s check our other choices… How does it feel when you are nervous, upset angry, afraid or sad? Any preferences? In what kind of state of mind would you prefer to be? Positive or negative? Unless you suffer from Anxiety disorders and may need for a professional assistance, there are many things you can do by yourself to enjoy the joy and happiness in life, for your benefit and all the people around you. Philosophers and psychologies struggled for ages with this question of what is the meaning of being in a Positive Mental Attitude. To explore it is one thing and to be in PMT is another thing. We are talking here about how to be in this state of mind or at least how to practice and trained to be in it most of the time. So what will you need to do so? First you have to make a long term commitment. It might be the most important thing to agree with yourself that this is the way you want to live your life, that this is the most important thing you can do for yourself and the people around you. That this is something you are willing to take an effort to reach and you are fully committed to. If you fully agree with the idea of feeling good, first right it down on a note and put it on a place to remind you about your commitment so you will never forget it, especially in hard times that might come and go. Then there are two elements of being that you have to take care of, your body and your mind. These two have to be synchronized with each others, to do so they have to speak. The thing is that the body talk with emotions and the mind talk with thoughts, so somehow you have to let them talk with each other although they are speaking with two different languages... The key for creating this conversation is your imagination, the imagination is our language to connect the body and the mind to have a conversation and synchronize. In order to show you exactly how it works I’ll have to disconnect you from your computer for a moment and do something quite pleasant. I would ask you to stand and dance! I’m asking you to use music, body movement and your imagination to synchronize your body and mind and get you into positive mental attitude only in few minutes. You will need your smartphone or computer to listen to an youtube clip, little space to move and privacy, so you wouldn’t feel stupid when people are staring at you... You can do this session for 5 minutes or 15 minutes or as long as you wish just give yourself the time to get into the right mood, please follow these few simple steps: Put this clip on youtube: https://youtube/watch?v=6qGNUSR7PbQ Stand and close our eyes take deep breath and start to move your body with the music. Make sure you move each part of your body. Use your imagination to go over each part of your body from your forehead to your toes. Imagine you are a kid, dancing in the fields on spring day, feel and smell the flowers around you. Take your time and enjoy. It doesn’t matter in what kind of state of mind you were, after only 5 minutes of dance, you are going to be in a totally different state of mind.
