Are you ready with your prayers and your shares? I have an unbelievable story of suffering, loss, compassion, heroism... and a cat who simply refused to give up. His name is Russell, and he was missing for five days after his familys home was destroyed by fire. The humans were injured, the house and everything in it were lost, and they assumed Russell was, too. But five days later, Russell was found, burned, unable to open his eyes or eat or drink or move. BUT ALIVE! His amazing veterinarians at the Animal Emergency Hospital and Urgent Care in Raleigh, NC, reached out to me for help with his mounting veterinary bills. He has had multiple surgeries, round the clock hospital care, and treatment for a liver condition that arose due to his being unable to eat for those five days. This family has lost so much -- we cant let them lose Russell, and we definitely cant let Russell lose his battle after so much determination to survive!
