Are you thinking what Im thinking about this post? Emmanuel lamenting for Sierra Leone and the ebola affected countries. The british Ebola patient has just landed at RAF base in Northolt. he was a voluteer nurse to our country. Lets pray that he get a speedy recovery. I am not praying for him because my daughter is a born British citizen or because I was educated in the UK & have been a British resident... but b because the humanitarian nurse volunteered to come to my country of birth (S/L), to help fight d Ebola virus. I am perturbed by the attitude of the west especially USA & UK to have allowed over 1000 people to have been killed by the Ebola virus, even though it is now clear that they have all what it takes to have preserved their lives but only if they were British or Americans. I am totally despondent at this high rate of hypocrisy shown by western politicians with their high diplomatic languages or sugar coated words , boasting of helping ... but couldnt save lives, when in fact they can!!! Promising a lot of money to fight Ebola... this same money they will pay to themselves as expatriates (stay in posh hotels, drive the most expensive vehicles etc.). There are still people in the west especially the UK (my 2nd home) that I think can & should rise up to the challenge and help those affected by Ebola, people like my friend Hon Simon Hughes (deputy leader of liberal democrats party), my campaign mate: the right Hon. Harriet Hammond (emeritus deputy British prime minister & current deputy leader of Labour party). I singled out these people because I know the love and passion they have for Sierra Leone in particular & Africa in general. I will not stop here, I am calling all of you to join me in fighting this injustice! We love the British people, we love Americans, but we are not happy with this high politics vis-a-vis the dreadful Ebola pandemic in west Africa. You taught us to be each others keepers but this is different from what is been practice. If Americans get Ebola they will be heal , Ebola will not kill British, Ebola ooh Ebola, you are showing the true colour of the world. I pray that the British nurse have a speedy recovery, I pray that all the hundreds of infected Africans recovered asap. May the souls of the Ebola victims (inc Dr Khan) rest in perfect peace.
