Are you thirsty? (please forgive the typos, I was in a hurry and wanted to share this asap) This morning I read day 2 of my bible in a year. Wondering if I will make it all the way through. I saw there were 4 rivers in the Garden of Eden, and I thought that was interesting. I went to be with the Lord afterwards, and He immediately said, What do you see? Nothing lately... Why not? Cause I havent been seeking you. Why not? I dont know...cause I am lonely, sad, angry, disappointed, hurt...etc. Then that is when you must seek me... Then I saw Jesus holding a glass up to my lips, I tilted my head back and I began to drink. I heard Him say. Let me give you a drink. When you are thirsty, you need to come and get a drink. I know... Then I remembered, this morning, as I was in the kitchen, making my coffee. My little kitty Luci began to cry as I was rinsing off some dishes. She jumped up on the counter beside me. She was fascinated with the water, watching it, so I turned the spray down and let her see it. Then I had the thought, maybe she is thirsty. I filled up a glass I had just cleaned and put it in front of her. Sure enough, she began to drink. Wow, she was really thirsty, I checked her bowl this morning and it looked like it had water in it. But her big brother Moses was in over night, so he must have emptied it before he went outside. I bent down and watched her lap it up. It was cool to see it from below through the clear glass. I thought about getting my camera, or filming her... Oh Lord, you were speaking to me then werent you? And I laughed. Yes, I am always speaking daughter. Then He said, let me show you something. We shot off flying together, I became a little girl, and like a monkey I was clinging to him, pressing my head against his body to hear His heart beat. He was smiling at me. We landed in a desert. He said, what do you see? Death. Sand. I know in the spirit sand means flesh. Ahhh I get it. He said yes, without water, there is death. Every living thing needs water. And without living water, you become fleshy. Yes Lord, oh how I knew this all too well. Then He took me to a rain forest. What do you see? “LIFE” I said. Animals, plants, insects, birds..etc. He said yes...”where there is water, there is life.” We went back to a desert with cacti and I saw after the rain how they would bloom. He said, after the rain, things that are dormant come to life. Yes Lord. Then very quickly, in flash visions, I saw myself swimming, then in a waterfall, in a swimming pool, in the ocean, in a river...etc. I saw a drop of water being released from God, and when I looked up, it was the size of a hot air balloon crashing over me. Then He took His cupped hands full of water and threw it into my face...I laughed and realized he wanted to have a water fight with me...playful times with Jesus. :) One more thing...He said. And He took me to a beautiful vista. I could see for miles. Then it began to rain. He said I send the rain, pray for rain to come over America and my church. Over my people that they might come back to life. I said...ok, now I want to drink. I felt awkward, it has been so long, so He reminded me to tilt my head back, yes...like I do in worship, and just receive. Then, in the spirit, I jumped in his lap and put my head against his chest, and wept. Again, my thoughts went to how Luci will jump in my lap when she wants love or up on the counter beside the sink when she is thirsty. I was listening to IHOP, earlier, before I had spent time with him, I had asked God to speak to me through the worshipers...and when I was done being with Him, an old familiar song came on... I want to sit at your feet Drink from the cup in your hand. Lay back against you and breathe, feel your heart beat This love is so deep, its more than I can stand I melt in your peace, its overwhelming The more I seek you, The more I find you The more I find you, the more I love you Then He reminded me of this scripture: Isaiah 55 1Listen! Whoever is thirsty, come to the water! Whoever has no money can come, buy, and eat! Come, buy wine and milk. You dont have to pay; its free! 2Why do you spend money on what cannot nourish you and your wages on what does not satisfy you? Listen carefully to me: Eat what is good, and enjoy the best foods. 3Open your ears, and come to me! Listen so that you may live! I will make an everlasting promise to you- the blessings I promised to David. 4I made him a witness to people, a leader and a commander for people. 5You will summon a nation that you dont know, and a nation that doesnt know you will run to you because of the LORD your God, because of the Holy One of Israel. He has honored you. 6Seek the LORD while he may be found. Call on him while he is near. 7Let wicked people abandon their ways. Let evil people abandon their thoughts. Let them return to the LORD, and he will show compassion to them. Let them return to our God, because he will freely forgive them. 8My thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not your ways, declares the LORD. 9Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. 10Rain and snow come down from the sky. They do not go back again until they water the earth. They make it sprout and grow so that it produces seed for farmers and food for people to eat. 11My word, which comes from my mouth, is like the rain and snow. It will not come back to me without results. It will accomplish whatever I want and achieve whatever I send it to do. 12You will go out with joy and be led out in peace. The mountains and the hills will break into songs of joy in your presence, and all the trees will clap their hands. 13Cypress trees will grow where thornbushes grew. Myrtle trees will grow where briars grew. This will be a reminder of the LORDs name and an everlasting sign that will never be destroyed.
