Are you up for a much deserved break from grieving? Think of - TopicsExpress

Are you up for a much deserved break from grieving? Think of cleaning up the kitchen after preparing a meal or doing some baking. The countertops are cluttered with dishes and ingredients – and we work hard to clear it and put everything in its place. Take this day and clear the clutter from your mental world. Put it all away, tears can wait, and seize the day in some way. Often times we are only afraid to live because we think the pain has such control over us that we can’t live again. We can, but we have to make it happen. If you can’t think of anything to do, just get in our car, hop on the subway or a bus, and see where you end up? If we seek, we shall find… It’s the weekend, and most of us have the day off, or will have some time off at some point in the day. Get your creative mind fired-up and plan an excursion. You of all people, with that aching heart, deserve a break today. When you put all of your heart into this distraction, you’ll begin to crave more time like it. Sitting and waiting to heal – will only prolong the pain. Trusting the pain is not meant to hurt you, only get you to change course and try a different route in life, you will embrace the journey of loss. So make a plan and push some of your pain aside and add joy into the mix. The more joy you slowly add, the more pain will spill out of the vessel that you are, and give you peace in your heart. We hear the word proactive…well it’s time to be so in our journey. Nothing will happen unless we make happen. Hugs & Blessings. ~Margaret Cowie
