Arent you afraid for Cheryls safety? Ive been asked that question numerous times the past few days. As a biblical husband it is my responsibility is to protect my wife! That is kind of hard to do when she is half way around the world. Matthew 10:28 tells me not to fear things that can destroy the body but things that can destroy the soul. There is an element of uncertainty and risk with any international travel. But Cheryls obedience to GO gets her away from the dangers of complacency, comfort and ignorance. I am protecting my wife! Im much more terrified of her living a materialistic, complacent lifestyle in a self serving society and being disobedient than I am of any illness or tragedy. Jesus called His followers to be a lot of things, but I have yet to find where He warned us to be safe. We are not called to be safe, we are simply promised that when we are in danger, God is right there with us. And there is no better place to be than in His hands. - Katie Davis.
