Argument for the existence of God: It is as follows: 1. If the universe (or all of space, energy, matter, and time) is an effect, then its cause cannot be contained in it. 2. The universe (or all of space, energy, matter, and time) is an effect. Hence; 3. The cause cannot be contained in the universe( or all of space, energy, matter, and time). Hence; 4. The cause of the universe(or all of space, energy, matter and time) is immutable, unchangeable, eternal, non corporeal, and not subject to a limited duration. 5. Immutability, eternity, unchangeability, non corporeality, and the transcendence of time are characteristics that only a supreme deity possesses. Therefore; 6. The cause of all of space, energy, matter, and time( or universe) is God. 1. Since time is an aspect of the universe( or all space, energy, matter, and time) it implies that the effect we call the universe is the realm of changeability, impermanence, and limited duration. 2. Hence the cause that exists outside the universe( or all of space, energy, matter, and time) must be immutable, permanent, and not subject to a limited duration. 3. Therefore the cause of the universe or (all of space, energy, matter, and time) must be eternal. Furthermore; Since we cannot see the cause, then it must be non corporeal or invisible. since it is not subject to time it means that it is infinite. Since it is eternal (because it is not subject to time or a limited duration) it means that it is not subject to destruction. Only God can be characterized like that. And those characteristics are confirmed by the bible. Hence signs exist( on grounds of nature) that point to the existence of God. One more thin; Since the whole universe is what we call the natural world, it implies that the cause must be supernatural, since it is operating outside nature.
