One of the most common new years resolutions is to get healthy and lose weight. And... what happens...usually a few days to a few weeks in, people lose track and start putting off fulfilling their resolution till another day. In order to break this cycle try these three tips that can help you stay on track to fulfilling your resolution, whatever it may be... losing weight, feeling healthier, becoming more financially stable, etc. 1. Chose a goal and make small habitual changes in your life in order to reach it. Crash diets, for example, never work. But lowering your portion sizes, remembering to cut down on sugar and salt, slowly and methodically, are much more effective strategies to creating a habit. With patience and time, you will start to see your dream coming true. 2. Surround yourself with people who are there to help you reach your goal. It is normal to get distracted, take a cheat day, or take a small break. Dont get down on yourself when this happens. Keep friends around you who can cheer you on and pick you up when you take a break. 3. Remember why you made this specific resolution. Thy why of the matter is what keeps you focused and brings you back on track when your goal seems far away or too hard to attain.
