Arik Air yesterday took delivery of Air bus 330- 200 aircraft, with which it intends to service its bilateral air services agreement designated routes. The Deputy Managing Director, Arik Air, Captain Ado Sanusi, said the aircraft brings to 24 the number of aircraft in the fleet of the airline. At a ceremony at the headquarters of the airline in Lagos, staff of the airline and officials of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority ( NCAA), led by the Director of Airworthiness, Benedict Adeyileka carried out inspection on the new aircraft The aircraft christened,“ Joseph of the Holy Family”, was dedicated and consecrated by Rev. Father Julius Ekoh , of the Catholic Diocese of Uromi , Edo State. The clergy, who is also of the Catholic Institute of West Africa, Port Harcourt, accompanied by the wife of the Chairman of the airline, Lady Mary Arumemi Ikhide, led prayer sessions for the safety of the aircraft. Speaking after the dedication, Arik Air, Sanusi said the new aircraft will complement the long haul operations of the airline
