Armed and dangerous fugitive arrested : December 31 at 11:51 a.m , Shasta County Sheriff’s deputies from the City of Shasta Lake division, were patrolling in the area of “Summit City” in City of Shasta Lake. One of the deputies noticed a vehicle that had been previously broadcasted as possibly containing an armed and dangerous felon from Trinity County. When the deputy attempted to contact the occupants, a male subject later identified as Fredrick Guidotti, 35, fled on foot from the vehicle. Within minutes, a perimeter was set with responding patrol units. Shasta County Sheriff’s K9 “Jax” was used to locate Guidotti hiding under a boat cover in the yard of a nearby residence. Announcements were given for Guidotti to surrender, which he did without further incident. Guidotti was considered armed and dangerous with a long history of resisting arrest. His arrest warrants stemmed from Post Community Release Supervision (PRCS) violations. These violations were for drug possession and transportation, child endangerment and battery on a law enforcement officer. Guidotti was booked into Shasta County Jail
