Armenian Democratic Liberal Organization Delegation Meets Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Australia and New Zealand Representatives of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Organization, the Vahan Tekeyan Armenian Cultural Association, and the Armenian Rights Council of Australia, recently paid an official visit to His Grace Bishop Haigazoun Najarian. Bishop Najarian was appointed by His Holiness Karekin II Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians as Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church of Australia and New Zealand following the passing of long time serving head of the church in Australia His Eminence Archbishop Aghan Baliozian. His Grace has been very active since his appointment and arrival to Australia attending to the needs of the Church and the faithful. Whilst he had met some members of the delegation on numerous occasions at various events and functions organised by the Australian-Armenian community, this was an opportunity to formally meet and discuss issues impacting on the local community. Haig Lepejian the chairperson of the Australian branch of the Armenian Democratic Liberal Organization outlined the plans and objectives of his organization and confirmed the readiness of the bodies and structures belonging to the Armenian Democratic Liberal Organization to support and assist the Mother Church in its pursuit of its pan-Armenian goals. The hour long discussion focused on the vision and plans of his Grace Bishop Najarian for the Diocese, as well as contemporary Armenian religious, social, and cultural issues. The delegation thanked Bishop Najarian and expressed their appreciation for being granted an opportunity to formally meet and discuss issues of common interest and wished his Grace good health, strength and success in his mission to lead the faithful of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand.
