Armor of God: Week 16. Christian Defense Day 5. C. As with the offense, defensive operations may develop intelligence. The more successful the defense, the more the believer learns about the enemy. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2-15-16, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. And in 1 John 4:1-2, Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: FMIM explanation of verses: We must continue to study the Bible, Pray and live a godly life by Abiding. His Word shows us the truth. We should avoid ungodly information. Use Prayer and the Bible to determine if a person is a false teacher. If a person claims to be from God they will talk about salvation through Jesus Christ. If they dont talk about the Gospel then they are not from God. QUESTION: What do you think of television and radio preachers who talk about how God Loves you, wants you to be Happy, Healed and Rich? Do they mention the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the way to be saved from eternal damnation?
