Arms are wide open, embracing the new year! 2014 was one of the most challenging yet blessed years of our lives. We are so gracious Harrisons sweet life was spared on November 7th. Its the greatest feeling to spend the holidays with him. When Harrison arrived home yesterday, he was at the neighbors house within 5 minutes, had friends over within 20 minutes and was out the door, going with close friends within the hour. He loves his friends and has been quite the social butterfly.. even when we are at Shepherd, he knew and spoke to everyone! We are looking forward to the continued progress that is in store and for Harrison to achieve all of the things he is already planning to do. He talks about finishing his outpatient therapy at Shepherd, having his bone flap put back in, returning to school and work, amongst many other things. We know that with time these things will come. Wow, how far he has came in merely 8 weeks! Harrison told us last night he should go and thank his brain surgeon. Talk about heartwarming!!! He is gradually starting to realize the severity of his accident but still has a strong sense of independence which sometimes makes it difficult for Harrison to understand accepting any weaknesses. We are so grateful for all of his friends that realize the severity of Harrisons injuries and the safety precautions that have to be taken as as result. You have done an amazing job at encouraging Harrison and looking after him. It means a lot to Harrison to be able to hang out with his friends... just as he always has enjoyed. 2015 is off to a great start. Happy New Year to each of you! Thank you for your prayers and love that helped us get to celebrate a new year and Harrisons life and well-being! We love you sooo much!!!
