Army Saints! Here is an update of our progress & future plans! Please share with the community. 1. After 13 weeks into the Toti River Restoration project, we have removed approx 100-120 tonnes of water hyacinth and litter! What an achievement Soldiers! 2. We will be putting hay bales into the river to treat the water. Links will follow. Other countries have been doing it successfully and so will we. 3. We will be introducing fish and other animals back into the river as well, once the water has been purified and maintained. We have already spotted ducks, Goliath Herons, Cormorants, Burchills Cuckol, Kingfishers etc. due to our hard work. 4. We will be attending to the Little Amanzimtoti River immediately after the Toti River is free of water hyacinth. We have plans to make removal easier already. 5. Toti Bird Park will be receiving a facelift once the small Amanzimtoti River has been cleaned. These are a just a few of the things that have happened and that are going to happen!
