Around 11 this morning my 11 year old son Joey walked with his friend from our house to the Wawa less than a mile away on the corner of 322 & Tuccahoe Road. Hes prolly done this walk 100 times. While leaving the store a 59 year old man entered. While they were outside eating n drinking what they bought the man came out and talked to them. He asked Joey questions. How old are you? Where do you live? Where are your parents? At some point Joeys friend walked away but kept an eye out from a distance. He said he was getting scared. The guy told Joey he was here to skydive down the street. He asked Joey if he wanted to go with him and watch him skydive. He drove a BMW and lives in No. Jersey. He wanted Joey to look at his parachute in his trunk. Joey kept telling him he had to go home before his parents worried and the guy would talk about something else trying to get him to stay. This scumbag also went to his car pulling out some sort of badge claiming he is a cop. Fortunately their was an undercover prosecutor who was kind of watching the whole thing go down. He was gonna intervene until a couple cops pulled up thinking the whole thing was strange. They started questioning the man and the kids. When the guy was trying to show Joey his parachute he said the guy pushed everything in his trunk to one side. The cops think the guy was planning on putting Joey in the trunk. I got home from work at 1:00 and was hit with this. We had to drive to the police station and do interviews for almost 2 hours. The guy was arrested for impersonating a police man and the more serious of charges luring a minor. Were all still freaked out and sorry about the long post but we havent had a chance to tell family and friends so I guess theyll find out via Facebook.
