Around 4:30 a.m. Lucky, who sleeps all night, was barking, running up and down the steps, and wanted out.(He does not like going out). I figured he was just making sure the cat was in. I let him out and he ran to my garage and back to my door a number of times barking the entire time. I called for the cat as well. I noticed the cat was at my heels,(inside). But Lucky was persistent. I thought maybe there had been an animal in the yard. Later this a.m. I was going to the office. I went to my car and the outside garage door was opened. I thought I was really absent minded to leave the door open. But when I entered my car, someone had gone through my glove compartment. Things were on my car floor, but nothing was taken. Tonight I received a neighborhood email that said a guy was seen walking in the neighborhood last night and checking home and car locks. I have a light at the garage, I have a spot light, but that didnt deter this individual. Turns out Lucky was right-- there was an animal in the yard. Luckys barking made him flee,leaving my garage door open. Garage door and car are locked tonight. I will take Lucky seriously next time and call 911.
